DIY Coffee Bar & Cabinet Ideas

This month’s article is all about those coffee lovers. Coffee is an essential part of most  Americans’ morning routines. Some of us like to go to Starbucks on the way to work or school, some like to get in a barista mode and create our own lattes. If you are a barista at heart or just want a special area for your coffee, here are some ideas to make your coffee station more organized and usable. 

A lazy Susan 

If you are looking for something to fit into your farmhouse style kitchen, a lazy susan is always a great way to add more storage space for your coffee products. Next to your lazy susan you can display your mugs the way you want to show them with a metal rack. 

Slide-Out Coffee Bar Cabinet

You can get a custom built slide-out cabinet. A slide-out cabinet is a great way to hide your coffee station. Your coffee station is hidden away inside one or two cabinet doors and can be brought out with your pull out drawer. It’s convenient when you want more simplicity to your kitchen. 

Coffee Bar Cart

Limited on space in your apartment or home? Get a cart to place your coffee machine, mugs and other ingredients. You are still able to see everything you need to make your cup of joe in the morning and keep it all in it’s own space. 

Closet Coffee Bar

You can turn a spare closet into a modern and stylish coffee bar. Add decorative pieces on your shelves if there’s extra space and temporary wallpaper to accent your coffee area. 

Slim Cabinet Stocking

You can work with what you have and convert a slim cabinet into a well stocked coffee cabinet. All your mugs, k-cups, instant coffee will be neatly stocked inside the cabinet while your coffee machine is on your counter. You can start by placing your most used items on the bottom shelf. 

Wall Shelving

Try hanging floating shelves on your wall above a buffet. That way you can display more of your coffee necessities or decorations to make your coffee area more inviting. 

Refurbished Antiques

Take an antique buffet or shelving and give it a more modern feel. If there are any imperfections you can’t fix, cover them with baskets, mugs, jars, etc.
